Our Meditation Playdates are designed for parents who wish to foster a deeper connection with their child and meet other like-minded parents.
Mindfulness and self-compassion can help parents understand their own emotions and tune in to those of their children. You can strengthen the attachment with your child by being present - listening, taking in all cues with curiosity and kindness. This also fosters your child’s self-regulation and social-emotional abilities.
This class is open to all primary caregivers with children from 0 to 3 years of age. It works beautifully with infants and toddlers alike.
There will be a brief introduction to Mindfulness practice, then about 30 minute guided meditation followed by sharing and Q&A. Kids in arms or at play while parents practice being silently present and open to whatever unfolds, responding to children in a discerning way.
No previous meditation experience is necessary.
